Central and northern Kenya: the complete guide

North of Nairobi the landscape changes. Snow-capped Mount Kenya gives way to the Laikipia plateau, then to the hot, dry country of the north. This region is home to rare species such as Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe and gerenuk, and to some of Kenya's best conservation stories, including rhinos at Ol Pejeta and Lewa.

Here is what to see in central and northern Kenya, when to go and how to combine the parks.
