Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
On your first day, you will arrive in Nairobi and check in to your hotel. After your check-in, you will depart for Samburu National Reserve, which is located in Northern Kenya. Your trip will include a lovely drive through the highlands and then begin to descend on your approach to Samburu Sopa Lodge and your lunch. After lunch, you will head for your first game drive to see elephants, lions, and the varied wildlife of the area, including reticulated giraffes and Grevy’s zebras. Following dinner, you will return to the lodge for your overnight accommodation.

Days 2 – 4: Samburu National Reserve
On your second day, you will enjoy three full days at Samburu National Reserve. The game drives during the early morning and afternoons will provide excellent opportunities for you to view leopards, oryx, and the members of the Samburu Special Five. Your afternoons will also allow for rest and relaxation at Samburu Sopa Lodge. You may also participate in optional activities such as a guided nature walk or cultural experiences in the area. Your evenings will be reserved for dinner at the lodge and a good night’s sleep under the stars of Samburu.

Day 5: Samburu – Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, check out and transfer south to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. When you arrive, check in at Mara Simba Lodge and have lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. The Mara’s sweeping plains offer spectacular wildlife sighting opportunities, including lions, cheetahs, elephants and all the antelope one can imagine. Days 6 – 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve
Be ready for an early start to allow for exciting morning game drives when predators are most active. You will spend the next two days exploring the vast ecosystem of the Maasai Mara, with spectacular views of the Big Five and the Great migration herds when in season. Each day you will take picnic lunch in the Park and resume the afternoon game drives after lunch. Optional additional activities, including a hot air balloon safari and visiting a Maasai village to engage with locals and learn a little about their culture, will be offered. You’ll return back to Mara Simba Lodge each evening for dinner and overnight. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 8: Maasai Mara – Diani Beach
After breakfast, check out and transfer to the airstrip for your flight to Diani Beach on Kenya’s south coast. On arrival, check in at Diani Sea Resort and enjoy lunch overlooking the Indian Ocean. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or taking part in optional water activities. End the day with a seaside dinner and overnight stay.

Day 9: Diani Beach – Nairobi
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the resort before checking out. Transfer to Ukunda Airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi, where your luxury bush and beach safari concludes.
