Itinerary
Your driver will pick you up from Nairobi, brief you about the safari program and embark on a journey of about 4-5 hours to Masai Mara National Reserve, the most popular wildlife destination in Kenya. Along the way, you will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy views of the Rift Valley Escarpments before proceeding to the reserve, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch at the lodge, you will head to the reserve for an afternoon game drive, searching for the Big Five (lions, leopards, rhinos, Cape buffaloes and elephants). You will spot other animals, such as cheetahs, African wild dogs, gazelles, and Masai giraffes, among others.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge
Have breakfast and head to the reserve with your packed lunch for a full day of game viewing. You will have a chance to explore the reserve and spot abundant wildlife. If you visit between July and August, you will be able to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration, spotting thousands of wildebeests, gazelles and zebras making their way towards the Serengeti. You will have a picnic lunch along the Mara River and then proceed with another game drive.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Have an early morning breakfast. After breakfast, check out and have a game drive en route. After exiting the park, there will be a one-hour visit to the Masai village, which will give you a chance to interact with the Masai and get a glimpse into their culture and unique way of life and see some of their customs and practices first-hand. Afterwards, leave Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will arrive in time for lunch; check in at the hotel and have lunch. Later in the afternoon, enjoy game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park boasts an abundance of wildlife and spectacular landscapes. Think of black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hippos occupying euphorbia forests, acacia woodlands, savannah grasslands, and rocky escarpments around a shallow, alkaline lake.

Keep your binoculars ready to see pink-backed pelicans, the goliath heron, and the saddle-billed stork. After the boat ride, you will proceed to the Crescent Island Game Sanctuary, one of the scenic and breathtaking wildlife sanctuaries along the lake. This is the only place you can walk with animals as they roam freely.
